Rafael Dos Anjos managed the longest punching combo in UFC history as he steamrolled his method through the former-champ Robbie Lawler last night.
Last night, Winnipeg played host to a fantastic UFC fight-card and though numerous notable minutes were to be found from top-to-bottom, it was Rafael dos Anjos’ dominance of Robbie Lawler that stole all the headings.
Dos Anjos, who, naturally, held the belt at lightweight for a time, transferred to 3-0 in his new division and after defeating a former champ of Lawler’s status, made his argument as the department’s top contender indisputable. 3 50-45 scorecards in his favour saw the Brazilian record possibly the biggest win of his professional career and though the efficiency he kipped down was impressive, one minute, in particular, made him a rather odd piece of history.
One punching combo that saw him land over 40 strikes on his challenger is now the longest boxing combo ever tape-recorded in the promo and though RDA was unable to obtain the finish, exactly what he handled to manage here was just exceptional.
